On the 23rd, the Ismail Watenga Foundation, spearheaded by its visionary founder Ismail  Watenga, embarked on a heartwarming mission to give back to the Mbale community. The day’s activities began with a meaningful visit to Namunsi Primary School, Watenga’s cherished alma mater. This visit was not just a nostalgic return but a powerful demonstration of the foundation’s commitment to empowering the next generation.

The visit kicked off with the donation of various essential items. The foundation generously provided balls, scholastic materials, pads, and sports uniforms, much to the delight of the students. Watenga, who understands the value of education and sports in personal development, emphasized the importance of these tools in nurturing both the minds and bodies of young learners.

In an inspiring address to the students, Watenga shared his own journey, underscoring that anyone, regardless of their background, can achieve their dreams with dedication and hard work. His words resonated deeply, motivating the young audience to aspire for greatness despite any challenges they might face.

However, the visit also highlighted a pressing need within the school. The school administration earnestly requested the foundation’s assistance in constructing a classroom block. Currently, some students are forced to study under mango trees due to the lack of proper infrastructure. This situation poignantly illustrated the significant challenges the school faces and underscored the importance of community support.

The Ismail Watenga Foundation’s visit to Namunsi Primary School was more than just a charitable act; it was a beacon of hope and a call to action for the community. By addressing both immediate needs through donations and long-term needs through infrastructure development, the foundation is making a tangible difference in the lives of these young students. This visit reaffirmed the foundation’s mission to uplift and empower through education and community support.
