After a productive morning at Namunsi Primary School, the Ismail Watenga Foundation continued its impactful community outreach by visiting Mbale Main Hospital. This visit was particularly focused on supporting the mothers in the Maternity Ward, a critical area that often requires substantial support.
Before heading to the hospital, the foundation members were warmly hosted for breakfast by Paul Wanyoto, Chairman of the Mbale City Land Board, at his home in Nabweya. Wanyoto’s hospitality set a positive tone for the day, and he graciously joined the foundation for the hospital visit, further strengthening the community spirit.
At Mbale Main Hospital, the foundation provided essential donations to the mothers in the Maternity Ward. These donations included mama kits, sugar, soap, and other necessities that are vital for new mothers and their babies. The act of giving was met with immense gratitude from the recipients, many of whom rely on such support during the crucial period of childbirth and early motherhood.
Ismail Watenga, along with his friends and notable attendees, personally handed over the donations, ensuring that each mother felt valued and cared for. Among the attendees were Roggers Mato from Ap Brera in Macedonia, Usama Arafat and Haruna Lukwago from KCCA, Police FC’s Onyai Derrick, and other prominent figures who lent their support to this noble cause.
The visit to the hospital continues to showcase the foundation’s holistic approach to community support. By addressing the immediate needs of new mothers, the foundation is not only enhancing their well-being but also promoting the health and future of the next generation. This act of kindness and generosity reflects the core values of the Ismail Watenga Foundation, which strives to uplift and empower individuals across different segments of the community.
